Wellness Day
The first event of 2024 at the Barnet Multicultural Centre, featuring health-focused talks, fully booked wellness sessions, and demonstrations, was a success, attracting community engagement and praise from Mayor Nagus Narenthira.
The first event of 2024, held in Barnet Multicultural Centre, proved another great hit with local residents. The came along to hear short talks on endometriosis lifestyle hacks, acupuncture, psychotherapy, help for ADHD, mindfulness, water therapy, and self-massage. The taster sessions including yoga, EFT tapping, meditation, and reiki healing were all fully booked and greatly enjoyed. Demonstrations of fencing and cooking healthy foods engaged people’s attention, while their interest in the many stalls and stall holders provoked conversations. People were encouraged to think about their physical health by FUSE, Healthy Hearts, Parkrun. And cater to their mental well being from vendors of soy candles, aromatherapy oils, and incense. The Mayor of Barnet, Councillor Nagus Narenthira, attended and spoke of the great community value of the event. People went home well fed by delicious food from Taboon and Global Fusion, taking with them bath bombs they’d made on the day, and soothed by the glorious harp music of Laura Marquino.
