St Patricks Day
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with WHACS: A community event featuring live music, Irish dance, crafts, and a message from the Mayor of Barnet on the power of arts to unite cultures.
On Wednesday 15th March 2023 WHACS welcomed people to a community celebration of St Patrick’s Day. The event was supported by MTVH (Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing) and the London Borough of Barnet enabling us to provide a band, dancers, refreshments, and arts and crafts activities.
Activities included cake decoration and making a leprechaun! The Irish dancer team were a local group of young people. The Mayor of Barnet Alison Moore attended and spoke passionately about the power of arts and creativity to bring communities together and cited WHACS aims: to bring joy, bridge cultures and gel communities.
